Description
The Super Van Craft 14.80 Cabrio is essentially the culmination of more than fifty years of development of the classic Super Van Craft. It is not an entirely new design, but a modern evolution of the original shipyard concept developed by Klaassen Shipyard in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
The 14.80 Cabrio was developed for owners who wanted to spend a lot of time cruising on European inland waterways and the French canals. That’s why it features a fold-down convertible top with a relatively low clearance height, without losing sight of the unique character of a Super Van Craft. In the version built around 2010, considerable attention was paid to sound insulation, double-glazed windows, modern systems, and a more efficient layout. The hull measures approximately 14.80 × 4.45 m and offers significantly more living space and comfort than previous models. Ideally suited for extended stays or permanent residence.
What sets the 2010 model apart—and this particular unit in particular—is:
- twin John Deere diesel engines;
- hydraulic bow and stern thrusters;
- stabilizers;
- tinted double-pane glass in aluminum frames;
- extremely luxurious teak interior, built entirely by the shipyard;
- relatively low clearance height thanks to the convertible design.
