Kempers Watersport uses professional photography and films HD videos of your boat by using a drone. If you are curious about what we can offer in terms of presentation, feel free to take a look at our current stock.
We advertise in all renowned water sports magazines, including Yachtfocus Magazine and Botentekoop, and on all major boat websites, such as www.yachtfocus.com, www.botentekoop.nl, www.boatshop24.com, www.hiswa.nl. There are more than 20 in total.
Total service
The greatest advantage of our yacht brokerage is that we take care of all your worries. Our full-service policy also applies to selling your yacht. Bring us your boat and we will take care of:
The sales brochure: Together with you, we will discuss the most important features and specifications of your boat. We will also take photographs of your boat. These details and photos form the basis for a full-colour specification that is offered to any buyers.
The berth: During the time it takes to sell your boat, we take care of the berth without any additional costs (storage on the shore or in a (water)warehouse is also an option).
Tours for viewers: We will take potential buyers on a tour on your boat.
Advertise for your boat: We regularly advertise in, amongst others: YachtFocus Magazine and Botentekoop and on different websites including www.hiswa.nl, www.HiswaMakelaar.nl, www.botentekoop.nl, www.euroboats.com and www.boatshop24.com. In addition, we are represented at a number of national and international water sports fairs, such as the HISWAs and Boot Düsseldorf.
The ‘test drive’: This usually takes place once we’ve received an actual offer.
Guidance during expert assessment: When the buyer wants an expert to assess the boat, we will supervise this process.
Hoisting the boat out of the water: Because we have our own boat lift (with a 50 tonne-capacity, even with standing mast), this can be done quickly without additional costs.
Collaboration during inspections and exchange and/or deferred payment options.
Insurances, possible berth and financing for any buyers.
Setting up waterproof contracts.
Supervising payments: We do this correctly and safely, amongst others, by means of a so-called escrow account.
Other benefits
In addition to the full service we provide, there are a number of other advantages worth mentioning. An international database with people looking for boats, increasing the chances of a speedy sale. Moreover, our knowledge and experience enables us to assist you with solutions for complex matters such as registration, import duties, warranties and conflicts. On a final note, we are a member of the HISWA yacht brokers. A boat under the care of a ‘HISWA Qualified Yacht Broker’ generally gets a better price than a boat that is sold privately. After all, watertight contracts, a dispute commission, an escrow account and membership of the trade organisations such as Hiswa and the Dutch Association of Boat Brokers, offer added value compared to a boat that is sold privately.
Procedure
As soon as you offer your boat with us, the process starts. We assess your boat and determine its current market value. Together, with you as the seller, we will come up with an asking price and specification based on the market value and your own input. Next, we will create a presentation for your boat and then it will be ready for sale. We advise you to moor your yacht in our for-sale harbour for the duration of the selling process. That way, passers-by might get interested in your yacht, increasing the likelihood of sale. If you want, you can of course sail your boat while it is for sale, but we do advise you to consult with your broker first.
Negotiations
If an interested party makes a realistic offer to us, we will discuss it with you right away. If you find the offer acceptable, we will arrange the test drive, possible expert review and full handling of the finances and the delivery of the boat. When doing so, we will determine the settlement for you as seller and transfer the net sale price to your bank account.
Brokerage fee
All of the above is of course included in the brokerage fee we charge. This fee is 10% of the final sales price, including sales tax, with a minimum of €3,500.
Cancellation policy
As yacht brokers, we will do everything to make sure the sale of your yacht goes smoothly. We prefer to stay involved with the sale from beginning to end. If, however, you would rather not commit too much to a yacht broker, we completely understand. With this in mind, we offer the option to cancel the sales order. If it is decided to halt the sales efforts, we charge a (storage) rate of €25 per square metre of the boat’s length per year. So, if we were to have conducted sales efforts for six months, that would only cost you 50% x length x width x €25. For example: for a boat that is 12 metres in length, this would come down to about 570 euros for six months.
